David Dawson did such a poor job representing my divorce case, that the opposing attorney AND CPA that did the business valuation were making fun of him in the hall. He stretched my case out, overbilled me, didn't do his job AND lied to the judge in court. David stated that he did not have proper disclosure regarding putting together a business valuation and the opposing attorney presented paperwork proving that David had indeed had plenty of time (the case took over a year to resolve) to prepare a proper business valuation, which David and Lori Miller did not do. David did not ensure that certain assets that should have been in place were available and due to his negligent representation cost me approximately $200,000 or more in my divorce settlement. To make matters worse, after I told him not to file an appeal with the court of appealson three separate occasions, David filed an appeal AND had the nerve to charge me for doing the work I told him NOT to do. Stay away from this lawyer |

this attorney caused me to walk away with just very little child support for 5 children, a car, a foreclosed home which lead us w/o a home cause of all the games he and my ex's attorney ( my attorney joined my ex's 7 misrepresented me terrible , no other attorney would touch my case cause it was so screwed up from all the games they played with my life w/my child) played with my children & my life. it took over 1 year to settle a simple divorce, just to run up a bill that my attorney withdrew out of my escrow account to pay himself off plus my ex's attorney w/o the judges approval. Kathy & Arthur were my ex's attorney's on garfield in clinton township,sure hope all 3 of them gets the saying what goes around comes around.... so nobody else ever has to deal with losing everything thing and not being told the truth , what happened behind the chambers was an entire different story then what i was told.. living in poverty due to the system and untruthful attorney accusing me of terrible BS |

David is part of the Macomb County "crew". He can earn decisions other lawyers can't so long as you can afford his hourly rate of close to $400.00. Once that run out, don't expect him to do you any favors. And, that rate didn't mean in my case that I'd get copies of documents or that I would be consulted about decisions or if I were your opinion will be respected - even though you're the client. There are less expensive attorneys out there who can deliver the same product. As for product, if you do hire his firm ask regularly when the law cited in key documents was last up-dated and that ask questions to insure that he understands the facts of YOUR CASE. Approach Dawson with caution |

David is the most knowledgable lawyer in the state of Michigan. You would do yourself and anyone involved in the divorce a great favor to hire Mr. Dawson . His understanding and calm demeanor when your going through a divorce is second to none. I would never want to go against Mr.Dawson in a game of cards let alone in a divorce battle. His staff is very patient with you even if David seems not to be. David will let you know what matters and what doesn't so that you can always stay focused. I would not send anyone to another lawyer ever |
