I hired Mike Pontoni to represent me in December 2009. He was the most unreliable, unprofessional, incompetent lawyer I've ever worked with. I'm a successful businessman and have retained dozens of attorneys for various purposes, and I've had good ones and bad ones, but this guy is the absolute worst. For our first scheduled court appearance, he didn't show up. No show, no call. Nothing. It was rescheduled, and again in his secretary's words "neglected to calendar" the appointment. Neglected to calendar appointments on two occasions. His punctuality isn't the only problem - being unprepared in court, lying about paying necessary fees, sending court notices to the wrong address (one time I found out because he accidently sent it to me!) and generally being a buffoon. Even other lawyers in town who know Pontoni say he simply doesn't care and he should get out of the business. Do not hire this moron!
