John Rongerude is representing a relative of mine as a public defender in one of the local municipal courts. It is what I would call a "contempt of cop" case. He has written a long set of well researched motions to have the case dismissed and / or have evidence thrown out as illegally obtained. His efforts have been way beyond what one would expect to get from a public defender. I'm certain of that. Overall, from what I know he is a good and honest lawyer.

I paid the standard $300 Fee to be represented. I paid to have my ticket dropped, if not then all/portion of the Legal Fee to cover the fine for a defferal. He took the whole 300. Only pushed for the defferal so now i owe court fees to cover the defferal. Basically took my money to simply perform a task that I could have done myself. I was under the impression I could not get a deferral because I didn't meet the requirement. No ticket in 7years, because 6 years ago I had a ticket on my license. Very crooked and shady. Very impersional when dealing with me over the phone. Was hard to get a hold of. This man is a snake.
