Ms. Cousineau has her fingers in many pies. She’s a GAL Attorney which means she makes a lot of money to overseeing custody fight kids. Also, she is Counsel to the Fairfield Grievance Panel handling complaints against lawyers. The Hartford Courant mentions her role on a task force gauging excessive GAL fees and a conflict of interest. She’s got her fingers in the till! Ditto being counsel to a grievance committee overseeing lawyer complaints. Read on.
You’re an attorney with your trigger finger calling the shots on the attorneys pursuing clients and their money, ethics aside, and greedy GALs. And to remain a member in good standing with the legal clique, you grease the system being snaky and lubricious. So far, Ms. Cousineau has managed to emerge somewhat antiseptic. But as The Courant points out, did she really pass the smell test? Honestly, she needs to practice far, far better hygiene.

In agreement with three of the four other posters, Sue Cousineau is a disgrace and a DANGER to children. DO NOT USE HER if you are trying to protect your child. She made friends with one of the parents in the case I was involved in and stripped all custody away from the other.. as a punitive measure and just because she could. She does not remain unbiased and lies on the stand to defend whichever party she stands with, which is not always that of safety for the child, which she admitted on the stand! And she does have a lot of power in the courtroom, so be wary. You've been warned (again).

This despicable attorney called herself a GAL, does not care for the children. In her own words, "Children do not always get what they want and they tell you what you want to hear." This attorney also works hand-in-hand with Lisa Faccadio another greedy attorney. Sue Cousineau is greedy, biased, and crude. With my own eyes I have seen her slam a door in someone's face In court. She uses her extreme girth to intimidate everyone. However she yields no results while her expensive bottom line will leave your bank account empty. She has a sliding scale, which she likes to keep a secret to those who cannot afford her. Stay away from this despicable attorney, you've been warned.

Attorney Sue Cousineau does not care about children and is only concerned with collecting her fees as GAL. She helps her cronies in AFCC and DCF to get state and federal funds. Do not use this person as a GAL.
