first court date never showed up basically showed when court was done to represent me and it was over, second court date showed up late of course didn't do any really I wasted my money and still didn't get what actually went for they should have refunds.family Law I would not recommend at all so sad

So grateful for attorney James P. Segall-Gutierrez he was able to settle a case for my nephew within two weeks they wanted over 70 thousand dollars had a prestigious law firm in the beginning the case over two years but very expensive they couldn't settle. He Did! He believes in justice for everyone. I would recommend he's law office for any legal services you may need. Hard to find an attorney with so much integrity and passion to help his clients win their case. Marie Figueroa

SHOULD BE DISBARRED!! He took a case for a good friend and, despite his bravado to the contrary, the complaint he filed was legally insufficient, he did not propound a single piece of discovery, never had a single expert witness, never showed up for depositions or court hearings, including the summary judgment motion. A formal complaint on his malpractice is before the state bar and the matter is in court of appeal, as well as being readied for a malpractice case against him. Saying he is incompetent is being kind. He is an unqualified buffoon with no moral compass. If you value your case, find a different lawyer.

Jaime has been an amazing attorney! I am proud to call him my lawyer and have him represent me. Thanks to him I won a case that seemed almost impossible! The judge didn't believe a word and even threatened to take away all 3 of my kids because he wouldn't believe that the police officers made a mistake! Thanks to Jaime we were able to prove the judge wrong, have the police officers confess to doing wrong, get a 3 year restraining order, supervised visitation and peace of mind! I am forever grateful to Jaime and all the hard hard work he put in for my family and I. ???????? definitely recommend!! Wonderful advocate and definitely a people's lawyer! He truly fights the good fight and cares for his clients!

I have sought legal advice with many attorneys on several different occasions. While other attorneys seem to be more concerned with managing their bottom line James Segall-Gutierrez gives me fast, accurate advice every time. I have known James personally since his college days at East L.A. College and UC Berkeley, where he participated in issues around social justice and Chicana/o education rights. I have always found him to be a genuine and hard working individual who understands the work of law and jurisprudence in a historical context, not simply a bureaucratic, financially-motivated activity. America needs more lawyers like him, lawyers with a conscience and a heart.

Jaime is the best. He is a true people's lawyer who is not afraid to take on the system and killer cops who pervade it and challenge institutional racism and violence. He is an advocated who puts people before profits and who will defend his clients tenaciously. I am proud to know him and to have seen him in action.

Mr Segall-Gutierrez is currently handling a case for a close friend, and he has handled and won cases for several personal friends, all of whom are not only satisfied but they recommend him highly. If i ever need legal help he is the first attorney i will ask help for.

I was so unhappy with the way this law office treated my case. They ignored me and took a deposit of $1000 and did not do as they promised me. They did not return calls or emails. Soon as they got my money they stop communicating with me. Dont dont dont use this office they are terrible and dont care about you. I was treated terrible save your hard earn money and use a Law office with integrity. These guys are all about taking your money.

Attorney Gutierrez was awesome. He helped in my custody case and slammed it home. His office staff is great and his assistant Greg is the best. I understand Mr. Gutierrez is in court and busy, but Greg takes care of business. His office is always filled with people and that's because he is such a great attorney. They are down to earth and are not your average law firm. They are the best.

Never returns calls and is always late. Once I had to wait for over 2 hours for a meeting he has rescheduled twice! and it sounds to me like he doesn't know the law.

I too agree with other comments; Mr. Guiterrez NEVER returned our phone calls or e-mails and over a 2-year period we met with him (3) times!! Always late!! We have not received anything in writing from this attorney on the settlement amount from the City, we are going only on HIS word, I am in the process of finding out why we have not received proof of the settlement from the city and if not satifisfied I will take this a step forward...to be continued.

Mr. Segall-Gutierrez helped me from going to jail for a very long time. I was looking at 21 felony counts and 25 years in jail. He got me a misdermeanor with time served. He's a miracle maker.

I was getting screwed on child support, literally. I am not saying I don't need to pay child support but my ex lied and so I was paying quadrople. Mr. Segall-Gutierrez stopped this****and now I am paying what I should have been paying in the first place. Oh yeah, and I got all my overpayment back. I love this guy!!!!

I definitely do not recommend this lawyer. My husband and I retained him last January and paid all the fees. Nothing has been done yet, and it is now mid-May. All fees were paid. Whenever we call to find out when he is going to help us, we are told he is too busy signing up new clients. What?? He has time to sign up new clients, but no time to service the ones he already has. Our only recourse is to contact the State Bar Association. This is shameful.

I had a false restraining order filed against me and he defended me, and won. He was considerate and compassionate.
