I hired Gregory Schmidt twice in a year, due to a couple mistakes. He worked to have my DUI charge dismissed the first time, and overall I feel like he did a good job. The second time I hired him, he was a lot more shady. Didn't respond to emails, return calls ETC. The day of court comes- he shows up late. I'm already nervous, so the fact my lawyer cannot pick up a phone and call to let me know where he is was a huge red flag. When he finally showed up, he didn't recognize me and I had to hunt him down. He took me to a meeting room. No apology. Takes my cash and we go back to the courtroom. He says "I have to go check on something for you, I'll be right back". 20 minutes later, my name gets called. NO LAWYER IN SIGHT. He doesnt return, and the DISTRICT ATTORNY had to come and stand with me. The man charging me had to speak with the judge on my behalf because my lawyer decided to leave. What a class act. I no longer live in MN, but will make sure everyone I know does not hire this man.
