After working in the pre-trial unit, she decided to attend law school and later represented the Carteret County Department of Social Services in juvenile court cases. She is an ok attorney...you dont want to piss her off or she will do nothing for you and she is expensive..if your going to pay that kind of money go with someone who is worth it. She got me divorced which any attorney can do but anything else she wants a pretty penny for. I think she was pretty Tenacious but I didn't feel she did all she could for me

She asked for a $15000 retainer from a pregnant woman with two kids and cancer and then sat on the $12000 we were able to pull together for over a month while refusing to file even an emergency motion to stop her husband's lunatic lawyer from filing illegal motions. She is ALL about the money. She cares absolutely NOTHING for the client.

Ms. Stephenson was able to represent me at the last minute on a domestic complaint case. She was knowledgeable, willing to answer questions via email over the weekend, and professional. She negotiated to get me the best outcome possible under the time constaints.
