In February 2011 we were rear ended by a driver of Yellow Cab. Police responded and the driver cited. Simple case. Three years later we still had no resolution. Numerous unreturned calls to the attorney. Finally got a mediation date of February 25, 2014. Three days before this meeting they got around to asking me if I went to physical therapy and could I bring them the files. In a meeting with the atty that day, he told us that Workers Comp wanted all of their money back as part of the law settlement. We didn't know that. He also implied that at that meeting it was the first time he had seen pictures of the car, and that it didn't look that bad. Nothing was accomplished at mediation and trial was set for September 2014. He told us that if we lost the case at trial, we were responsible for Workers Comp, court costs, atty fees, etc. Consequently, we agreed to settle out of court for very little money.
