Nancy is a powerhouse if you ask me. She fights aggressively and knows her stuff. She is not afraid to walk into the lions den right with you. I am happy with the results, which is not easy to say in divorce. She was able to advise me about what to expect at the support hearing and she prepared me well for court.

If I can prevent just one person from hiring this unscrupulous family law attorney, then I will consider my time and words worth it. In my opinion, this woman is the most unethical, unscrupulous, overcharging, non-performing, uncaring person I've ever had to deal with. Evidently she knows how to "hook us" or she wouldn't ever get clients, but during the long process of my ugly divorce, she took all of the savings I began with, and then EVERY SINGLE PENNY of my few hundred thousand dollars that I was awarded. By the end of our dealings, she left me rude messages on my phone, and never did a thing for me. What a bitter woman! While I was her client, I experienced at least 3 or more of her employees quitting because evidently she is as bad to work for as she is to have as an attorney! I wish I could share more specifics, but I would NEVER trust what she would try to do to anyone who would share the extent of her antics, and try to make others aware of her lack of morals as an attorney.

As in the other cases, Ms. Bickford's handling of my case was egregious. She took my retainer, went on vacation for four/five weeks, was incommunicado, which gave opposing counsel all the time in the world to do whatever he wanted to do! On her return, she convinced me we had no choice but to settle, especially since opposing counsel threatened that he "went way back" with the Judge! I was stunned and should have fired her then but I did not have the funds to retain a new attorney. Eventually, she produced an MSA where she blew the deal herself...remember she was supposed to be my advocate! Her fees are outrageous and you get absolutely nothing, apart from more trauma which is inherent in the circumstances. She will stop at nothing to get her fees and doesn't seem to have an ounce of integrity. Do not use her services!

Nancy Bickford over charged, over billed and turned out to be unethical in her representation. She and her staff went through the retainer in weeks with nothing to show for it. When the money ran out she dumped me. She seemed afraid of my ex's attorney and of losing, not exactly what a client needs in an attorney during a stressful divorce.

Nancy Bickford is a billing ****. I am a family law paralegal and hired Nancy Bickford for a simple family law matter, but was horrified by her lack of knowledge and her abusive and outrageous billing. She and her large staff overcharged me for repetitive, excessive and unnecssary work which depleted my $5,000 retainer in only 5 weeks!!!! When I fired her she refused to sign the substitution of attorney form and then continued to bill me for 3 weeks. When I refused to pay for all her ficticious billing she had the audacity to sue me. I should have sued her for malpractice, instead I wasted my time at the San Diego Bar Fee Abitration. It is a sham. I now know that the arbitrators always rule in favor of the attorney. Do not hire Nancy Bickford. I have since contacted some of her former clients who have had similar experience with Nancy Bickford too. Together we can expose Nancy Bickford for her unethical and exploitive billing practices and help others from being victimized.
