How would you feel if your attorney billed you over $500 to open a trust fund account during divorce process. A few months later attorney issues both you and ex-spouse checks from the trust fund account that bounce and are rejected by the bank. This happens 7 days before xmas. To make matters worse the attorney blames the bank and switches the trust funds to another bank and BILLS YOU OVER $1,150 to swtich banks. Then she overbills you $3,325. You immediately request an accurate bill. No correction is made. You send another 3 requests to correct your inaccurate balance due. Each of these are ignored. You file a claim with state bar. Attorney tells state bar that she has corrected all payment/balance issues. A year and a half later you win an arbitration against the attorney but she refuses to pay you interest on the $3,325 of your money that she kept for a year and a half. In small claims court she lied to the judge saying she never bounced any checks from trust fund account.
