I can only give Michael Chapski the BEST ratings for his professionalism and his knowledge regarding narcassism and its associated abuse. He is organized, and truthful. He does not tolerate stall tactics and meaningless balogne from other lawyers. HIGHLY recommended. He is not after money; he is after justice for the best interests of the children.

I utilized Mike Chapski for what turned out to be a long protracted divorce. Mike was extremely professional and worked as a true advocate for me in my divorce. To my mind just what you want in any attorney. Mike made me aware of the nuances of my situation and advised me on how I would be potentially impacted by my choices and the outcome of the divorce. My divorce ultimately went to trial because of a spiteful ex-spouse. Mike handled the trial very professionally, and advised me as to what to expect at trail. The outcome was fair and I believe equitable for both parties. I am truly pleased with the outcome of the divorce. Mike ultimately saved me tens of thousands of dollars. I first hired an attorney located in a BIG office in Dundee, IL that placed his feet up on his desk during our first meeting. I should have known that he didn't have my best interest in mind.After several mistakes were made by the now disbarred attorney,I quickly searched for a new attorney. Mike was highly recommended by my brother.My brother has had personal and professional experience with Mike.Throughout my divorce process, which lasted 16 mths,Mike has always remained professional as well as personable while understanding family matters. His professionalism is well respected because he is ultra-organized and immaculate about his work that is always completed in a timely manner. Mike also assisted me with a custody evaluation completed in 2012. I was awarded sole custody with his assistance.Mike was always in court on time, organized, and he had done his homework. He knows and quotes case law before the judge which helps the judge decide in his/her ruling.

My divorces just ended after 3 too long years, had 2 previous lawyer that did zero, racked up bills, michael stepped in and in six monthes finalized the case. Michael listened and problem solved and told me the truth and did what he said he would do. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an ethical lawyer doing his best to deal with people at their worst. His billing was fair and detailed and he always called or emailed back immediately. I wished i used him from the start. If you want some one to stick up for you in front of a judge use michael chapski as he speaks softly untill he has to make the case in front of a judge and your ex.

I have been working with Michael Chapski on and off for four years in regards to a divorce case and parenting agreement disagreement. With all the moving parts as well as the legal maneuvering the other party has attempted, Mr. Chapski has been outstanding at keeping everything straight and making sure the best interests of the children were always kept at the forefront. He is extremely thorough in his approach, looking at all angles and suggesting the best course of action. He keeps a very close eye on our costs to make sure things are not being filed just to increase fees like the opposing seems to be doing. Mr. Chapski has been my attorney for over three years (my ex is on his fifth lawyer) -- representing me in my divorce and custody battle. I hired Mr. Chapski after my initial attorney proved to be incapable of handling small details of my divorce - this was very scary, since we hadn't even touched on the most important aspect of my divorce, which was custody of my two children. Michael Chapski has all the necessary skills and qualities needed to handle a difficult divorce case; and especially one that involves children and the issue of custody. My ex attempted to stall the JPA, but Michael worked tiresly at getting this very important document entered and bringing the issue of my children's custody to an end. Throughout the custody process Michael worked closely with the GAL - bringing issues of my children's safety (when with their father) to the GALs attention and successfully gaining a strict visitation order entered - an order that remains in place to this date. He said he interviewed both parties - he did not give equal time to each. He did not show up for court ordered, scheduled home check. He did not consult with schools, doctors, or police to verify information. He did not return phone calls from school officials or children when the children were in distress. This lawyer is driven by money and doesn't check validity of information provided and refuses to go to the source to determine the truth.

Mike was my second lawyer in my 13 month divorce process that involved my 3 children. I should have gone with him first. Mike answered all of my questions I had about the divorce process quickly and directly. Many of my calls and emails were replied to the same day. There were also times he would respond back on weekends or while he was at the courthouse. Mike did an excellent job of making sure my process continued to move forward, despite having to work with a stubborn opposing attorney. Unlike my first attorney, Mike didn’t send out any type of correspondence to the opposing side without my prior approval. Working with Mike, I felt that I had control over my case. Mike did an excellent job of explaining where things stood, and the next steps along the way. I highly recommend Michael Chapski for anyone unfortunate enough to find themselves going through a divorce. Court date was today for the ex to prove why she didn't comply with a court order. Mike provided an argument that was impeneterable and and I walked out with what I needed to have done! I am completely satisfied with the outcome and would recomend Mike to anyone who needs the services of a lawyer!

I've worked with Michael for approximately four years, the duration not of his doing but rather the strategy we chose to employ in my case. Michael is very knowledgeable and consistently made me aware of all my options, both the good and the bad. He is incredibly responsive to both phone calls, e-mail and office visits. In a couple of urgenct instances, Michael contacted me after hours with his mobile phone. Michael is personable and professional. I used Mike for my divorce and he took a difficult situation and brougt it to a resolution when at times I thought it was going to drag on forever just because the other party wanted to drag it on until she got her way. Lawyers should not be blamed for a case dragging out, it's the system! When one party can state that their reasons are "because I said" or "It's what I want" and the courts allow that what is a lawyer supposed to do? I am now using Mike again because court orders are not being followed and I know he will resolve the issue quickly and professionally!
