Mark was hired to prepare a QDRO. He was not hired to defend or represent anyone's position. He was only hired to prepared the QDRO based on the information contained in the Divorce. He went over and above to add benefits for my ex that was only awarded 50% of 10 years of accrued benefits and practically robbed my current wife out of her share of survivor spouse benefits. I didn't hire him, the divorce judgment named him as the person to prepare the document. My ex went to him without saying anything. I only received QDRO documents and a request to sign signature pages and return to his office and a constant reminder VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! His fee are not expensive, but it is costing me so much money to clear up his mess it is not funny!! You get what you pay for and end up paying more in a addition to what your thought you were paying for less

Mr. Cherniak was knowledgable and efficient in preparing documents needed for my QDRO. He explained everything thoroughly so that I clearly understood and the costs involved were reasonalbe.

I am the attorney receiving the very poor rating for supposedly appearing almost 2 hours for the sentencing of the writer's husband. The writer posted this in Dec., 2012. SHE IDENTIFIES THE WRONG ATTORNEY! "Sentencing" means her husband was criminally charged. I have not handled a criminal case in at least 5 years, handled very few criminal cases prior to that, and have never been late anywhere close to the amount of time claimed to ANY court hearing. This person is invited to contact me at (313) 871-0742 if she needs further information to verify she has the WRONG GUY, and then hopefully have the integrity to write a correction/retraction! If someone publicly writes a professionally damaging opinion, they need to be absolutely certain in their identification, and not do so on a "I think it's him" basis.

this man was over an hour and forty-five minutes late for my husbands sentencing,He also had the gaul to inform my husband prior to this that if my husband was ever going to be late that he would be charged monetarily....touche then mr. cherniak....Ithink you owe us some money back...don't you? He did not even care. He sucked at being our attorney, and would strongly suggest you all to choose a more compassionate lawyer. You sir get an "F" from me and I will never refer you to anyone!!just the contrary, you are a TERRIBLE attorney!!! This is my opinion and never again mr.
