Unethical and deliberately incorrect in submission of baseless arguments to court. Abusive to opposition. Threatens opposition with imprisonment but without cause. Enters litigation not based on law or evidence. Threatens and then fulfills legal action if demands are not met almost immediately, meaning within one hour! Money, money, money the great motivator. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Others in Du Page County have expressed similar opinions to the writer.

Wonderful attorney. I was hosed by another attorney for 10 months and 5K later I had absolutely 0 results. James was awesome, told the judge what was happening and I got my child support in no time; I took care of my kids solo for over a year waiting on the other guy! VERY knowledgeable about family law and how it relates to child support and the self-employed father's write offs....DEFINETLY recommend! His legal fees are fair and he is result driven.

I echo previous review, could not have said it better. He drains his clients of cash submitting baseless motions after motions. Does not care about truth. Very unethical and full of himself.

James Hanauer is one of the most unethical attorneys I have ever run across. He lies to judges, does not follow rules and statues or follow due process. If you are up against Hanauer expect constant frivilous motions, and much "to-do" about nothing. He uses the courts as a personal cash machine and runs up the fees of both his clients and those opposite on the case. If you are looking for a weasle, he is your guy. If you are looking for a honest, straight forward attorney to handle matters in a timely manner stay clear of James Hanauer.
