I was not expecting such a great outcome after hiring Mary as my 3rd attorney. After she came on board, the entire flow and tone of the case changed. From day one, the opposing attorney who has been a hard person to work with completely changed their position, and even the judge was a bit more flexible in listening to our case where the previous attorney didn't get a chance to argue before being shut down. For those problematic and high conflict divorce cases, I highly recommend Mary E. Ramos and her Team.

I hired Mary Ramos for my divorce matter and came back to her for my child support matter a few years later. Great attorney. Very knowledgeable in family law. She knows how to handle difficult opposing sides. The mother of my children was not an easy person to deal with, but Mary knew exactly how to work around her attitude. She is definitely an attorney who cares about father's rights. I will always recommend her to everyone I know who needs help with family law matters. I have recommended her to friends in the past and they had a great experience too. Thankfully I have my kids living with me and I get to be such a hands on dad because of her.

I highly recommend Mary & staff. I've used her several times over the past 10 years and recently hired her to represent my son in a divorce. She is a straight shooter and won't let any one bs her.

I hired the firm several years ago after searching for the right lawyer to represent me, I can truely say I was super blessed to finally find Mary Ramos and her awesome staff. I would definitely reccomend there services without a doubt to anyone in need of a family lawyer!

Up in the air recommending this one. Mary is a very smart lawyer, knows case law and is respected in her industry. Most judges and other lawyers know her. I used her to fight a very ugly custody modification. She was very thorough and a great lawyer but has terrible interpersonal skills. Her staff is even worse. They have a no call policy and no after hour consults, not even emergencies. That is ridiculous when you demand $400 per hour. A one week judge trial is $30k and jury trial is $50k. Showed up for a hearing and she didn't even know who I was. I kept her because I didn't care how I was treated, just wanted to keep my kid. Honestly she's a good attorney but her whole process is cold and distant. There were times I had questions and needed immediate answers. Most $400/hr lawyers will give you their cell. Not this one. With her, its a cold rigged process. She completely changed from the caring concerned advocate at our initial consult to a cold frigid stranger.

I have never written a negative review, but I felt the need to after having such a bad experience with Ms. Ramos. I voiced my concerns several times, hoping the situation would get better, but it only got worse. She has a "no phone call" policy. She will only respond to emails, and when/if she responds, it's several days later. She brings her paralegal to mediation, and you have to pay Ms. Ramos and her paralegal. One year and $25-30k later, I can't caution you enough. Extremely disappointing!

Words cannot express how thankful I am to the Ramos Law Firm for handling my case. My case was very very complicated and I was scared no one would want to touch it. She took the time to listen, understand and learn the case. She is extremely knowledgeable of the law and I was amazed on how much work her and her staff put into my case. Everyone in my family is amazed and appreciates what a wonderful attorney she is. Thank you Mary for all you do. You can work miracles.

My experiences with Mary and her firm have been nothing less than exceptional. I interviewed with several other family law attorneys and Mary Ramos was the only one that I felt really cared about me and my situation. I could instantly tell that her knowledge of Texas Family Law was incredibly vast. Another attribute of Mary's was her ability to help me see through all of the anger and emotion so I could make smart decisions to help my case go smoothly and quickly. Her staff was always courteous and a pleasure to deal with. I have referred several friends and family members to the Ramos Law Firm and as far as I know they have all had the same exceptional service and attention I was given. Thanks Mary!

While I appreciate any forum for clients to communicate their experience, it is difficult for a law firm to defend against slanderous postings. Our firm focuses in the area of law where most of the Bar Grievances are filed; we prefer and are happy to respond to those. However, in this type of forum the law firm only has one option which is a generic response given the attorney client privilege. Many of the posting will state I am not a happy because of XYZ but what you won't find out is that in the divorce our client was awarded the house, all of the retirement and primary with the kids. However, because dad was awarded the lawn mower the client isn't happy. This is just one example of many situations a family law attorney has to work with.
We enjoy helping individuals through the most difficult business transaction they will be confronted with and quite frankly we do a great job but sometimes these one sided reviews cause harm and are only intended to slander the firm. Alfredo

After spending around 10K on her, I got no where on a simple custody situation. It's still going on and Mary never filed the appropriate orders. Her responses are few and far between and frankly I believe her practices to be unethical. I will consider contacting the board about her behavior.

Mary handled my support case. I was using the OAG, but they took 4ever & couldn't get my ex served. I contacted Mary, She saw me same day that I called. I signed contract, did requested paperwork, & in two weeks I had my hearing & ex was served. She told me up front that for all ?'s I should email. I got responses. If not by her, then her staff would update me. She does bill for everything but its in her contract so there was no hidden surprises. She was a good attorney. She came to Court, not on time, but that was understandable bc she had other cases set 2, she showed up, was prepared, & had all calculations done. She talks fast, but got job done. She got my ex to agree to amount of support that she had calculated based on the financial info we gave. Everything else fell into place & she had our final orders emailed to us within days. Loved the fast pace & she even worked w/ me on payment plan for her services. I would use her again.

always hours late, cannot remember details of case, way too busy, cannot give attention to any one thing at a time, has way too many clients to give attention to any one case, good at showing up late and wasting your whole day at court waiting to see if she'll show up

Impressive during initial interview, signed contract, paid by certified check, can not reach her since. Will not respond to phone calls, voice mails, e-mails or texts. I think I got took for alot of $$$$$$
