I have immensely enjoyed working with Kathryn Lonowski and her team. She had gone above and beyond for me during the most difficult times of my divorce. Kathryn was recommended to me by a friend who had recently been through her own divorce. Retaining Kathryn was the best decision I could have made during that very difficult time. Kathryn and her team were keenly organized, proactive and thorough. My divorce was treacherous. Hopefully some aren't. But for those that may be or even if they are not, Kathryn and her team can navigate through it competently. Her decades of experience in Larimer County provide ample expertise. She doesn't sugar coat, so get yourself a therapist for that :). She'll candidly, succinctly provide options based on case law and local experience and as most who have been through divorce know, this may not always feel/be "right", but it is reality. I would suggest a friend use her and I rarely do reviews or recommendations. Best of luck to you if you are starting out on this road.

I would recommend Kathryn Lonowski Attorney at Law. She worked Tirelessly on my daughter’s divorce of 5 years ago and then again 2 years ago on a contested custody case filed by her former husband. My daughter has a severe hearing impairment, though gainfully employed as a preschool teacher, needed the financial assistance of her Dad and myself. During the year long divorce procedure, Kathryn and her staff made the necessary accommodations for my daughter throughout the divorce case and then 2 years later with the second custody case. Kathryn also went out of her way to include us, as parents, in communications, through cc on email to our daughter on emails, and on phone conference with her and our daughter. Kathryn will make sure you get a fair and equatable settlement. When you work with Kathryn and her staff you feel like you are her only clients.

She is an awful person. Not just attorney, but person. All she cares about is money...for herself. Divorce is awful, she makes it harder, longer, and more expensive wanting to push for more and more unnecessary litigation. If you want any relationship with your ex, and if you have children you MUST, please please please find another option. There are many out there that are not so immoral.

Kathryn seems very professional and hard hitting with her advice but smart enough not to over play her knowledge of a given situation. She and her staff seem to be very aware of needed times to push and staying on top of the required deadlines to keep items moving forward.

Kathryn was professional, transparent, and thorough with me the entire time. I hired her to work with the Life Insurance company after my ex-husband's death to get the money that was owed to me via my divorce decree which was sloppily written by another attorney. She went above and beyond what I asked her to do. There were no surprises in billing which I truly appreciated.
She will be very honest with you, which may not always feel good, but she has your best interest at heart. I would hire her again! I regret that my case had to be passed on to another probate attorney because I know that I would have been happy with the end result with Kathryn. She gets the job done!

Ms. Lonowski is morally bankrupt. She operates with threats and misinformation. She creates more conflict then already exists, takes advantage of unsuspecting clients, and destroys relationships in the process. Seriously, it's not worth it. Find a lawyer with a conscience.

Knowledge: For divorce, Colorado is a "no-fault" state, yet Ms. Lonowski implied my problems were my own since I had filed. Communication: Did not listen, jumped to conclusions which confused the conversation and this continuously took time to straighten out. Tenacity: Drove her agenda, was not willing to first consider what I was asking before telling me something off topic. Work Quality: One cannot consider quality if the direction of the work is wrong. Value: Waste of time and produced extra emotional stress that is not needed during divorce. It is completely unexpected to be the subject of aggressive questioning when you are not the opposition.

Lonowski shows no concerns for the marital children often putting that in the middle of the divorce. She is quick to proceed with unnecessary emergency litigation measures that cost thousands of dollars. A reasonable attorney could easily resolve such matters with a simple phone call.

I went to Ms Lonowski looking for a skilled divorce attorney. To say the least, I was not satisfied with the services she provided. Her communication style was demeaning and extremely anxiety-provoking; additionally she did not have a good knowledge of the law. In fact, her lack of knowledge resulted in inexorable amounts of lost time, money, and emotional energy. In the end, I left Kathryn and her "counsel" prematurely, hiring another attorney and have never questioned that decision.

She does not know the law well. She intimidates her clients. And bows down to the opponent lawyer, which show her lack of the understanding of the law.
