After several appearance when DSS took my child a year ago, I was given John Lewis as my attorney. Oh my God, I have him a year and not one time did he cross exam my case worker. I finally told him I wanted a new attorney and he got furious. Walking back in to court I told my husband, and Mr.Lewis walks over and I quote,'watch your mouth you POS'! The nerve! When he shows up late to court every time, always drinking coffee(prolly has Bailey's in it), and plays on his phone during court, doesn't object to anything, then gets butt hurt when you tell him. The guy is a joke, if he's can be a lawyer, then my 12 yr old should be in law school. She could have done a better job. I'm going to fight for my parental rights in 3 weeks. I just hope I didn't wait to long. It's gonna take a miracle to fix his **** ups!

I used him in 2010 for a civil case and same thing. Could never get hold of the guy. Had to call the BAR association to get him to call me. Unprepared day of court, had to give him cross exam questions. the whole firm is no better.

If there was a zero option I would rate him all zeros. He keeps you in the dark because he himself is in the dark and has no idea what he is even doing with your case!!! He is incompetent and has such poor cross examination skills because he is unprepared. Save yourself the time and money and frustration. Also save yourself from looking at his ugly ties.

John Lewis in ept poor people skills for his profession.my husband has been poorly represented .We can never talk to Mr Lewis himself we're constantly talking and relaying messages through his secretary that by the way is rude and very unprofessional.He don't show for appointments or court dates. He's a poor choice for a lawyer simple as that. Go else where.

John M Lewis is a beast in the game. He saved my ass on a DWI case that was one the docket for 4 years. The DA and the judge were furious with having to let me walk. If they have evidence you in Cabarrus County, Jesus could not save you.

Worst lawyer in N.C. He never returns phone calls. Promises you the moon, but once you pay him you are on your own.He is suppose to be working for you, but that is so not the way it is. Never hire John Lewis... You will be be wasting your money.

He agreed to do a job for me and since then he will not return a phone call,email or schedule appointments. He was supposed to represent me in court and the judge could not find him, I called his office they said he was in court, the law officer in the court room called on his radio and could not find him. the judge asked him to tell me my case would not be heard today and that I could leave and Lewis was never around. I had to leave the court room when the judge asked us too after sitting there about 3 hours and Lewis could not be found. He was there when I paid him and since he got the money he cannot be contacted. I hope you read this before hiring this person.

John Lewis the absolute WORSE attorney I have ever had! You could not pay me enough to hire him again. He does NOT return phone calls, voicemails, or emails.

He didn't assist my fiance at all with her court situation and when she tried to contact him on several occasions her never returned her phone calls or her emails. he truly is money hungry he could care less about his client because he cares more bout whats in their pockets.
