He asked for $10K up front, non refundable, no hours of work guaranteed, and had me sign that that the money cannot be refunded, especially if the person dies early. He absolutely assured me due to connections, he could resolve the main crisis I had. After chasing for results, he admitted he could not resolve the problem. Also, only after I paid, did he say there was really nothing for him to do about the financial part of my situation and referred me to a financial planner. The balance of my issue that needed immediate attention due to the health of my relative was addressed so slowly and ineffectively, that in desperation I did it myself (with a lot of research and time). He also talked me into re-doing the Power of Attorney papers, etc, which cost extra to do, but I later found his forms were too cumbersome and the originals I had, turned out to be fine and much more practical. He promised to send written progress updates, etc but I received none.
