Atty James Smith just may be the only ethical lawyer left in family court. Extremely brilliant, professional and honest, he was a true warrior in my brutal 11year custody battle / divorce. Heck, my ex even tried to punch Smith in the face in the courtroom. My ex was abusive to our children and to me. Atty Smith was a legal shield who kept us all safe. I felt proud to have him represent me. I owe my beautiful life now with my wonderful thriving grown children to Attorney Jim Smith. If all attorneys were like him, family court would go much better, much quicker and most important- more children would be safe.

Amazing attorney. He is dedicated and works very very hard for what is right. He is brilliant and works internally while he is considering the different responses to the issues being presented. I strongly feel that the negative reviews are deom clients who expected to be coddled. Family law is a tough business and Attny Smith is excellent because he can separate the emotion from the law when the client cannot. Many attorneys hire him themselves. It is important to me that Smith is a WARRIOR in the courtroom and seems to leave that behind outside of the courtroom , indicating he understands life and what people are fighting for in the first place. If your family won't allow peaceful reconcilliation, Smith is fhe ONLY one smart enough and TOUGH enough to help you. Pray that he does.

He is rude and ignorant. While he represented me he went through several paralegals. Very difficult to speak with. He is very concerned with money (the money that you pay him) and nothing much more than that. He talks a big talk but doesn't follow through with most of his talk. I wouldn't recommend spending money on this attorney. Any attorney can do exactly what he did and probably would cost less. He seems like a shark and tells you that he will do this and that but doesn't come through with anything at the end.

Horrible Lawyer!.Waste of my time and money. He bullied me and I felt like an annoyance to him.But he certainly was keeping track of his bill!... He was recommended by another lawyer for uncovering hidden info but he never did any of that . He ignored my case and I almost missed discovery which he did very little of. He insisted he had all the info but I showed him he was wrong..and it was my fault! Never hire this man..he is arrogant and incompetent.

Don't hire this lawyer if you are looking for the truth, general manners,any type of positive collaborative communication.He charged my ex ten's of 000's for rude and unprepared performance's in court which netted her close to zero after well over a year concluding with a trial he lost. If you face him be prepared for any dirty trick and accusation that borders on ethical violations. He does little procedural work of his own and is not directly reachable by email?? He can easily be beaten by any well prepared attorney.

Worst Divorce Attorney! Just wants your money doesn't care of the outcome of the case. Only cares about how much money he can make. Communication is terrible. He doesn't know how to speak with his clients. Just rude. I have used him in my divorce and the whole ordeal was terrible.

Attorney does not care about the case but the $ he is making from the case. Bad communicator. Not prepared for anything. Screams and yells a lot. Not easy to work with especially when sensitive matters when children are involved. Keep looking for someone else, or represent yourself. You will be better off.

Dropped the ball on first appearance and caused a spiral of negative effects to our finances and judgments with future motions in the courtroom. Transcripts to prove his lack of preparation for our case. His communication have been horrific. His office style is through his assistant and never with him directly. They way his runs his office is horrible. We would NOT recommend Atty. Smith if you want to win your case.

BAD lawyer. started OK, but in the trial I witnessed, He sat back and chewed on his glasses. Never objected to a child being sexually abused and given to his ABUSER FATHER! Basically talked ex parte with the opposing lawyer, making deals. Made about $50,000 in this case and mother lost child COMPLETELY-Mother is a loving, model-MOM! Jime Smith LOVES money, that's it!
