I retained Mr. Hindman's services for a personal injury case in'02; he said it could take 7, 8 or more years to be settled. He filed the case a year and ten months later. The company had insurance but had already filed for bankruptcy. The case was closed in '04; I was not notified. I checked county records and found that out on my own in '09. I called to see what was up and he got the case reopened. We went court and won the case by default against the company. He said he would call me in a month, if not, I should call him. I called and he never returned the calls. I finally asked the receptionist if I could bring a sack lunch and wait for him; he called me back within 5 minutes and said he would no longer represent me. I had my file the next morning. I contacted the ins. co. I was told that they wouldn't consider paying because they had not been previously contacted; the 2 years statute of limitation had run out.
