I used Gary Leppla to continue a lawsuit against a Federal Agency for discrimination! Mr Leppla required 40% of any settlement before he would take my case. My existing attorney was retiring from my case due to a number of medical issues. She had won during arbitration and the Arbitrator had ordered back pay, legal fees, compensation etc. Gary Leppla took my case to go to trial possibly. We got a settlement. His fees were exorbitant nearly three three times my other attorneys fee. I was told that I couldn't speak with the judge or other attorney. I received a settlement that didn't include recovery of any legal fees, damages, compensation, apology, offer of reinstatement.Gary Leppla made out better than I did for about two months work. I was required to pay taxes on the settlement. So he got more than I did. I went through almost ten years of racial abuse. My first attorney worked my case for nearly five years. She always stated that I would recover my attorney fees.
