STAY AWAY FROM THIS ATTORNEY. PRACTICES UNETHICAL POLICIES. HE IS HOLDING $5000 OF OUR MONEY IN HIS ESCROW ACCOUNT & REFUSES TO RELEASE THE FUNDS. WE WERE INVOLVED WITH THE SALE OF BUSINESS ASSETS THAT INCLUDED OUR LIQUOR LICENSE. AS I AM WRITING THIS, HIS CLIENT (THAT PURCHASED THE LICENSE), HAS BEEN GRANTED THE LICENSE THROUGH THE DEPT. OF LIQUOR CONTROL & THE OHIO DEPT.OF TAXATION.THIS ATTORNEY IS REFUSING TO RELEASE OUR FUNDS. IN ORDER FOR THIS LICENSE TO TRANSFER, ALL OF THE STATE DEPTS. HAD TO SIGN OFF THAT WE DID NOT HAVE ANY PENDING TAX OBLIGATIONS.THIS ATTORNEY WANTS AN ADDITIONAL FORM.HE HAS THREATENED ME VIA EMAIL WITH...."One more statement out of you against either one of us will mean further action on our part. You will get paid when you control your behavior & get a tax release." I COPIED & PASTED THIS DIRECTLY FROM HIS EMAIL. THERE WAS A FORM SUBMITTED TO HIM FROM THE DEPT.OF TAXATION VIA THE DEPT OF LIQUOR CONTROL,REASSURING HIM THAT THE TAX OBLIGATION HAS BEEN MET!
