Tom is an effective lawyer. He timely called me back whenever I ever left a message but more often picked up the phone right away and I got him personally on the phone. I like that I didn't get stuck at a secretary as a gatekeeper. His research gave me better insight to the options available to me. He is a straight-shooter and tells me exactly what to expect.

This guys initially told me I have a six-figure case during our consultation. When we had a preliminary hearing he whispered to me " We will take whatever they offer us". He is independent and not with a firm. He told me that his fee is 45% if we go to trial. The case never went to trial and he still took out 45% of the settlement and I only received $5,000 for a wrongful termination case. The company screwed me out of lost wages and discriminated against me because I got hurt on the job and immediately fired me. Mr. Rutledge was initially going to take depositions from the people who terminated me, but then backed out and said he couldn't afford them. He asked me for $1500! When I gave my deposition he said I did great... when I told him I would hold out until the case goes to trial he said my deposition will kill us. I couldn't believe it! He then said I have done all I can do and demanded I take the settlement. This guy will not litigate for you and wants a quick buck.
