Mrs. Cotto's legal practice and methods are
From my experience are less than ethical. She is not board certified in any discipline of the Law.
A Board Certified Specialists are lawyers who have been recognized by the State Bar as demonstrating superior knowledge,skill, integrity, professionalism and competence in a specific area of law.
Mrs, Cotto has had a career all over the board as a public defender and now family law. Mrs. Cotto is not from the United States and is completely unaware of how our sophisticated culture works. In my experience she is more likely to try and drive up client billable hours as supposed to attempt to reach amicable solutions. In my experience Mrs. Cotto employed bulling tactics and will attempt to intimidate and push you around. It's almost comical. She dose not speak English as a first language. Sylvina Cotto has been my attorney for several years and her service has been nothing short of excellent. She is knowledgeable in her area of the law, well organized, prepared, and tenacious at appropriate times. It is obvious after spending much time with her that her work ethic and moral compass lead her in all she does. She is very honest with me about what is fair for both parents and encourages that parents learn to communicate and work together. As my attorney she has always ensured that I am treated fairly in the eyes of the law. If issues are not resolved out of court her performance in court is excellent. I feel she is able to set the tone of the court room with her professionalism, mannerism, confidence, and knowledge. I would not hesitate to recommend Sylvina Cotto to anyone in need of an honest, knowledgeable attorney.

Divorce can be a very difficult and emotionally draining period of time. Having a strong support system and guidance through the legal mumbo jumbo is very much needed and was greatly provided to me by Sylvina Cotto and her staff. Very often your case may get lost or forgotten in the shuffle of many cases at law firms but not so the case at Cotto Law. I received the personalized attention needed along with the best knowledge of the ins and outs of the legal systems policies and procedures. Sylvina Cotto is simply the best one could ask for in an attorney. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, hard working, and determined. She is readily available for phone calls and emails. Sylvina Cotto has always had the best interest of the client in the correct perspective with all the correct ethics of best practices. From my experience Sylvina has always followed the letter of the law always having the compassion for the person she is representing, being the heartless insensitive business of a divorce can be to bring out the worst in some people. I would highly recommend Sylvina Cotto to represent any of my friends or family members for any legal counseling.

She is nothing short of amazing. Sylvina helped me get by relationship back with my son. I would recommend her to my closest friends. She has the knowledge you want in a lawyer. Her communication is exactly what I would expect. She emails and calls me back every time. Sylvina Cotto has determination and perseverance to get the job done. Her work quality is spectacular. She is extremely organized and ready for anything. In today's age a truly great lawyer is invaluable. If you are looking for a lawyer to waste your time and money better keep looking, because this one is the exact opposite of that. If you want a lawyer to win at any cost, and wish to have your children seperated from their other parent permanently...this is your lawyer. This is an ugly business and if you only car to win at any cost, and at the expence of the Best interest of the children... you found your woman. Unethical in every humane sense of the word

It was hard to get Ms. Cotto to return my phone calls and when we did speak she was rude and disrespectful. It was as if she thought she was better than me.
