INCOMPETENT. Extremely incompetent. Bad layer and worse person. The only time she spent on my case was writing invoices, billing for "work" she NEVER did. She depleted a $5000 retainer in days without touching my case. Her INACTION left me without the protection of a restraining order against an ex-husband with a domestic violence history who had tried to choke me. She was hired to keep the restraining order in place but after taking my money she did what the other party's attorney wanted her to do. Unethical. Unprofessional. Dangerous,

Pretends to be a strong attorney, ready "to fight" for clients. In reality Marita Nogueiras presents herself in court ill prepared. In my case the judge would not accept proof that my ex had hidden our community money in a new bank account, because Ms. Nogueiras failed to bring to court the subpoenaed proof! Her lack of follow through caused me to loose $280K! Worst part, she then dropped my case and turned around and took me to Small Claims Court ( put her zipcode rather than mine to force me to drive to her local courthouse) and asked the judge to force me to pay her for: appearing in court, for all the times we talked about my case on the phone, for "reading and getting ready" for my case, and for her office's request of the subpoenaed documents she failed to produce in court!!! Incredible!

Very unprofessional attorney never communicates with clients, hides behind the receptionist, took my money and dropped my case at last minute before my trial.
