Mr. Foster's lack of attention to details, changed the course of my life. Due to his mishandling of the stipulation of settlement, my divorce went on for several years and led me into bankruptcy. Let the truth be known that choosing Mr. Foster was unequivocally the worst decision I could have made for a divorce lawyer -- and I am a lawyer! I should never have trusted him with my rights and my security.

Rick is a horrible attorney. He refuses to communicate and when you go to court he is unprepared, unless of course he has called you at the 11th hour and still can't communicate what you need/want. He is currently bleeding me dry. Screwed my whole case and afterwards expects payment. He himself has been divorced 5x. You'd think he would be a pro. I am reporting him to the NY Bar association with all copies of communications as well as the court transcripts so they can really see how horrible he is. He is extremely rude and threatens to drop you as a client if you do not follow HIS directions even if it is not what you want. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere.

i have more respect for dog crap! Lier,Dumb,Idiot,Untrustworthy total piece of crap do your self a huge favor and stay far away from this cling on! He will bleed you and not have a clue of what is happening with your case. sad thing is he is not even able to represent himself. Go to arbitration with him and he is more of an idiot trying to represent himself. I walked out laughing at what a goon he was. What makes it better is his partner is even more of a idiot then him go figure.

A BIG thank you to Rick and his team!
I was given Rick's name by another highly accomplished, well-respected attorney (who does not handle matrimonial cases).
I had a very lengthy & difficult divorce proceeding, which also included the setting aside of my prenuptial agreement. Rick and his team are knowledgeable and professional. They know the court system well & are respected by the court. Rick has an extensive, accomplished law career and chooses his team well. Alex & Eric are savvy, professional and know the law. While neither party will be truly happy at the end and the divorce proceedings cost a lot of money - Rick and his team did their best to accomplish what I needed and will do their best to keep you as calm as possible through the process. I made the right choice with Rick.

Stay away this guy is a total idiot. He can't even defend himself . Kicked his but at his own arbitration hearing with me. Just down right a loser in every way! Made me laugh in the end on how pathetic he really is!

I find it interesting that there is a "client" leaving a review that is putting down another reviewer. Look at all the other reviews on other sites. Rick and the entire law firm is a horror show. I have spent month working with this firm and I can assure you, they are not nearly as good as this site claims. Like I said, look at the other sites about Rick and the firm. I am confident that the reviews that are good are from the attorney himself. Do yourself a favor, look for a different attorney. There is some knowledge there but they are done helping people. They look to see how much money they can take from you and they are done. You are left with the bills and looking for a new attorney. Skip all that and find a serious attorney from the beginning.

Rick Foster was the most non effective lawyer.At trial,he was a bumbling idiot.My home is in foreclosure,and child support for 3 children $65.00 a week.He costs me over $40,000 and was non-communicative and SUCKED.What a horrible mistake that someone recommended him to me.Anyone else would have been better!

Ric got my house back in a divorce settlement ( 75/25 ) Ric is tenacious, and tough in the courtroom. It was worth every penny to me. Hindsightfully, life goes on and I am in a better place today, than 15 years ago. thanks Ric

The other reviewer sounds like a disgruntled deadbeat. He was more than fair about my bill. He's tough and smart and he kicks ass in the court room. He is extremely well respected by colleages and judges alike. He's a rare find, a great lawyer and a good man.
