I hired John for a car accident which I was not at fault. He didn't remember the facts,never found the missing favorable witness (I did!), had an incompetent part-time legal assistant who didn't even know how to write or file a court pleading (document). If not for my insurance attorney who was great and actually conferred w/ me (unlike John, who was always gone or too busy to talk w/me),and was always gallivanting around the world, literally, I would have lost at arbitration. The insurance lawyer argued much better and actually helped me win! Also, when the check came in, he tried to cheat me out of mt rightful amount.John still ended up w/ more than me after I told the "legal assistant" in no uncertain words that his calculation was WRONG. I should've won 10k+ instead of less than 4k. I'd never hire him again!

I had a slip and fall accident and it took 4 1/2 years to settle. I gave Mr. Meske several opportunities to back out and I would find a new lawyer. They said that they could handle this. During the arbitration I found out that he was not going to fight at all for my case. We settled on a pittance because he did not want to hire (or could not afford)expert witnesses. He then informed me that the money might have a lein put on it from my insurance co (VA). They did. After he recieved the entire settlement check he has just kept all of the money. That was in 06/09 and it is now 02/10. His office was supposed to submit proof that if a lein was put on my settlement that it would create a monetary hardship for me. It does. I haven't been employed for several years and I have had 4 operations on my hips resulting in 2 hip replacements of which my insurance only paid 75%,(I'm thankful). We have called the VA and they will not talk to us but only Mr. Meske, and he won't return our phone calls.
