Chadwell violated the rule of professional conduct which requires him to abide by his client's wishes. He did exactly what I told him not to do. He was chasing the gravy train of a guardianship client when I wanted to avoid guardianship. He filed suit against me when I refused to pay a ridiculous bill for services I had not requested. I filed a malpractice counterclaim. Knowing some of his family history, it is my personal belief that Chadwell himself was suffering from early stage dementia, that stage where the ego feels it is almighty but focus and concentration (and ethics) fade. A google evidences he is no longer actively practicing. Legal licenses, just like drivers licenses, must be subject to competence review, a growing problem for tomorrow.

The statements kept piling up but the work didn't get done. He said 6 months to a year, and now I'm approaching 3 years and the estate is not completed. He's very hard to reach, doesn't call me back, isn't in the office or won't come to the phone. He doen't keep his promises; his staff is the same.

I also had a bad experience with this guy! He didn't seem to know what he was doing, but was sure willing to charge plenty for his ignorance.

He takes a very long time to get things done, is extremely expensive, contradicted himself from time to time, and gave us incorrect advice. I recommend avoiding this lawyer!
