Sadly I got a traffic citation earlier this year and a colleague referred me to Mr. Portnoy; he answered my phone call directly and answered all of my questions. I forgot all about the ticket and panicked when I realized I had missed my court date. I called Mr. Portnoy right away and he informed me of what could be done next. I retained him that afternoon and within a month he closed the case. He was able to ensure that my insurance did not go up and no points were taken off my license! He was affordable, knowledgeable and friendly!

Douglas is an amazing attorney who got a PJC for a case where I could have easily lost my license. Rather than focus on my experience I will tell you why you should hire him:
1) He has over 25 years of experience. He knows the people and he knows the system. This goes a long way in getting the best outcome for your case!
2) He is smart and knows what he is doing: I called 10 lawyers or more to find out what I needed to do to get the best outcome for my case. Douglas told me to attend defensive driving classes and to get community service hours before my first scheduled court date. No other lawyer recommended this and given that I got a PJC on a case where the odds were slim to none I would say trust him and do what he says to get the best outcome.
3) He is honest: He never sugarcoated anything.
For the reasons above if you are hesitating to contact Douglas I will say do not because he is the right person for your tough case whatever it may be.

I considered just paying the traffic ticket with no legal advice and glad I changed my mind. He provided great service and was quick to resolve the matter. I highly recommend.

This was the first time working with Mr. Portnoy. I contacted him and the same day he returned my call. I described my situation, he gave me his opinion and what he would be able to accomplish. We agreed and he did it. Very professional, easy to work with and delivered as promised. I would definitely use Mr. Portnoy again.
