Maggie Clemens represented a woman named Susan Gonzalez in 1991. Clemens worked for Nixon, Hargrave, Devans and Doyle, the AMLaw #76 firm in the US. Clemens directed her in-house investigator to run a credit check on Gonzalez' estranged husband in violation of the man's privacy rights. Jurisdiction was granted against Nixon, Hargrave, Clemens, and several of her fellow lawyers in Arizona for the tortious conduct she directed the investigator to commit. The case is reported as Bils v. Nixon, Hargrave, Devans & Doyle in the Pacific Reporter2d. Clemens and her co-defendants lost their appeal in the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two, 3-0 (no dissent). This record needs to be known by the public.
