I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LAWYER.I terminated my relationship with this lawyer after two years of ineffective results. Ken recommended for me to plead guilty and he would get the best sentence for me. I could not since I was innocent. Ken was hard to contact with my questions and I was left in the dark often. He was disorganized and forgetful. One year with my new lawyer and I was acquitted.

I cannot praise Ken Byers enough...I was facing some serious driving related charges and Ken was able to take the most serious ones off the table and got me an amazing deal. He has many years experience and knowledge and was very professional throughout...I would definitely recommend him to family and friends in need of a good lawyer.

Absolute joke of a lawyer will take all your money do nothing then ask for more. Will send his son without telling you to work on your case and speak to judges if he deems it not worth his time showing the lack of care for the client. If you want to waste all your money and have to go through court with a different lawyer years later this is your man.

I retained Ken Byers and his team for domestic related charges. My spouse did not wish to cooperate at all with the prosecution. On the trial date, the crown did not have the necessary witnesses there and asked for an adjournment. Ken cross examined the officer and was able to show that the police had not made the right efforts to get the witnesses there. As a result the Judge denied the Crown request for the adjournment and my charges were dismissed. Ken’s command and presence in court was something to see. He also quoted his fee at the beginning and it was exactly what I was charged in the end. I would recommend Ken and his team to anyone in need of a criminal lawyer and I will personally send anyone that I know that is in trouble to them.

Aside from the initial meeting where he makes you grand promises, you may never hear from him again after he takes on your case. He has no regard for confidentiality with case files all over his office, names and all. I learned after hiring him he is well known for extending cases that don't need to be extended.You won't hear back from him for weeks. He'll send his assistants (who you never met before), without legal licenses to court when the day comes. Stay far away from this guy.

Ken and I have worked together for 1 year now. I came to Ken with two situations in two different jurisdictions with 8 serious charges with allegations made by the same person. Being new to the justice system I wanted to find counsel that I could trust, communicate with, and that would represent me to their best capability based on their experience. Ken was this man. I would highly recommend Ken Byers.
I was charged with Driving with a Suspended License despite the fact that I was not notified of the supension by the Ministry of Transportation.
Ken was able to negotiate an agreement with the Crown Attorney to allow me to plea to a driving without a license.
This saved my job as I commute 150 kilometres a day with no viable public transit options. A loss of my drivers license would have been catostrophic for my employment.
I had known Ken for some time, but had not worked with him. Ken is a person of strong integrity, character. He also an extremely hard worker.
When I engaged Ken I knew he would find a way to get me a fair settlement.
It was no surprise when he was successful.
If you are looking for a lawyer of with integrity, character who works hard and has a "get it done" mindset, I would highly recommend Ken Byers.

I found Mr. Byers to be extremely well-versed in the particulars of my case throughout the entire time it was active, regularly updating himself and keeping on top of things. Further to that he regularly updated me on every aspect of the case and kept me in the know at all times. The strategy he devised and the way he executed it were specifically built to my case and worked to achieve the goals that we had agreed on. Everyone has their opinion. In my case, hiring Ken was the best thing I could have done. I paid a small penance but in the end, I was able to get off all charges. No criminal record, I was able to apply to a job that required a criminal background check after all was done and I got a new job. I'm extremely grateful to Ken. When my friends got in to trouble I always ask Ken for help. One was charged with dangerous driving and Ken managed to get it dropped, and my other friend was charged with 1 assault and 2 threats, and Ken dropped them all in 3 months. Just talk to him and you will make the right decision for yourself.

Ken Byers took my case, I made the mistake of trusting him. He said he only takes on cases he is confident he can win. Asks for a retainer, and then his priority is making sure you can make your monthly payment. After giving him over $3000 I decided to fire him since my case was sure to be found guilty. He knew this from the beginning, however, he is just after the money. That's it. I definitely would not recommend this lawyer, and I should have done my homework BEFORE I hired him. Do yourself a favor, and try and find a lawyer who will actually put your best interest first, not theirs. Good luck.

I normally don't give anything or anyone a perfect score but without question Ken deserves this rating! He delivered a better outcome (in fact a complete dismissal of the charges) than I could ever have hoped for. He genuinely cares for his clients and even after my case is completed he continues to check on me to see how I'm faring with my addiction issues. Great lawyer, Great guy!

A public defender would have been better. He quoted me $3000-$5000 and of course he maxed it out. I estimated the amount of time he spent on my case and it was less then 10 hours( and I'm being generous). He urged me to plead guilty, being very naive I did. He told me he made a deal with the crown and I still got more then the minimum penalty. On my court date he sent an associate that I had never met before. The associate was ignorant, condescending, and insulting. This guy even suggested a more stipulations to my sentence and the judge rejected them and said that's too much. Talk about being in my corner. I don't like stereotypes but he lives up to all negative ones about lawyers. Defend yourself before hiring this guy. Unless you like flushing money down the drain.

Him and Bruce Daley are both amazing sales men but horrible lawyers. They overcharge and also don't provide close to the service they talk about. I am also confident all the positive reviews are left by families/relatives/fake accounts because after dealing with them personally it makes no sense at all!

I called Mr.Byers for an allegation that required a criminal lawyer. He provided sage advice on what to expect and kept me updated. He was very diligent in returning calls and answering my questions. Fortunately the allegation was dismissed. I was very surprised when Mr Byers said "no charge"! A knowledgeable who I highly recommend.

I would recommend Ken Byers to anyone. I was facing an unfair charge. He was straightforward and told us exactly what to expect, what he felt our chances were and how he was going to approach the matter. He was both understanding and professional which we appreciated given the unfortunately situation. He got the charge dismissed within an amazing short time. Costs were fair and he allowed us to pay him over a very reasonable time. I am extremely surprised at some of the negative comments. That was not my experience at all! He told us like it was and did not sugar coat anything. He fought the case with diligence and determination. Ken Byers from the firm Daley Byers is a 100% crook! I am very disappointed at the outcome of my case after dishing out more than $4000! I had called him again a few months later to dispute another matter and he acted as if his hands were clean. DO NOT HIRE KEN BYERS. Move to the next firm..

Had one of his Associates - after consultation and looking over charges and papers, gave a price for representation. Paid the full price and after dragging out the court dates was told had to pay another huge sum to continue with representation. Called about extra charges (half of my first bill) and told he wasn't making money on this case. Could have bought a new car for total charged. Ended up losing the case too. Very condescending attitude. Don't believe his website about clients being told cost up front - not the truth.

This guy is pathetic with a capital "P". Other than being a great salesman he is nothing. Hired him. Charged me extra as I only wanted him and sent some guy who was in more trouble than the law boards than I was in. He should be disbarred. Promised to refund the extra money but just stopped taking my calls.
