Chiege Okwara is not afraid of anyone and fights for her clients. She really goes beyond the call of duty to represent her clients. She is not afraid to fight for her clients or get their cases dismissed. She tries a lot of cases and gets a lot dismissed as well. She is probably the busiest female criminal trial attorney in Mecklenburg County. She is also very knowledgeable about the law and can be very dramatic in her closings--like laying on the floor during her closing arguments in the Robert McFadden rape trial in August 2011 (The kid accused of raping the 80 year old woman). Although he was convicted on some charges, the media said he will receive about 40 years in prison. He was sentenced to about 9 years-12 years. Ms. Okwara represents clients no one wants to represent or that are hated by the public. She does a lot of court appointed work. I will recommend her any day and if I am ever in trouble, I will hire her to represent me. II understand she also handles difficult juveni
