Doesn’t stay in communication with her clients. Refuses to provide an engagement agreement that she has been officially reprimanded for by the Arkansas Supreme Court. Tells you to “Stop!” when you email her information that is pertinent to your case. (screenshots available) Yells and curses at you on the phone (phone recordings available). Ignores numerous requests to meet with her. Refuses to keep you posted on the status of your case and acts like it’s an imposition when you ask for updates that she should be giving regularly. So much more to say, but not enough room here. If you’re looking for an attorney who will ignore your calls and emails, not provide you with an engagement agreement outlining what they are doing for you and for how much, will curse and yell at you when they actually do call you back, will keep you in the dark, will refuse to provide you case documents they have received from the other party, etc., then Cecily is your girl.

We contacted Cecily Skarda because of her reputation of protecting her clients with dedication and focus.
Our child custody case was not only challenging, but extremely emotional.

I was referred to Cecily from an attorney friend. I’ve read some of the poor reviews she’s received, and I cannot speak for those clients, but I will say that I had an overall great experience hiring her! I’ve gone through a few poor attorneys who only cared about playing it safe - NOT Cecily! She is the only one who wants to see what is right and just prevail. And she helped me win my appeal! She was available around the clock and on the weekends to answer any questions I had either by phone or text. I am highly impressed with her work and would recommend her to anyone!

I was in a tough situation with my job that could have ended my career as an officer. I appealed a punishment they gave me and When it came time to get my case ready for the civil service she did AMAZING. She was able to clear my name and get me back at full speed at work. Mind you only one other officer has ever appealed a punishment and won over the civil service. Cecily may not respond right away or not answer every call but when it comes down to it this women does her job and she fights for her clients. She doesn't give up and she's WELL prepared for what's ahead of her the day of testimony. I'd recommend her to anyone because I know she'd do a damn good job. Thank you Cecily for representing me and winning my case.

She took $2500 up front from us, and when we complained that she was too hard to contact, she fired us and kept our money, having done NOTHING on our case. BEWARE of this person. She will NOT return your calls and has an obvious problem with anger. If there are any others out there being burned by her, I suggest you file a formal complaint with the Arkansas Office on Professional Conduct. There have been other complaints to the Office against her. I wish I had done some research before we hired her.
