I have known Mr. Brenners for a good part of 18 years and he has represented me in divorce, alimony modifications, appeal and pre-nuptials; a good range of the entire scope of family law and always with positive results. He is extremely competent and knowledgeable. This may sound like a fake review but it is not! Don't let Mr. Brenners pleasant and friendly demeanor fool you, when necessary he will (and has) turned into a formidable and very sharp defender of your rights and interests. I can implicitly trust his judgment. Mr. Brenners is very approachable and will respond to your concerns and calls in a very timely manner, in other words he cares. His office assistance, Nancy, is very pleasant She has always complied with my requests efficiently, without delays and impediments - a real pleasure. I can honestly say that I can call on Mr. Brenners with a sense of comfort and knowledge he is there to assure me and defend my interests.

Beware! Awful representation- don't do it! My case dragged on for a long time and I lost with excessive fees to boot. Do your homework! Look elsewhere

Mr. Brenners helped me win my daughter in a long drawn out custody battle. I would like to mention that I am the father. The other was doing horrible things and she would not get caught. If you are having a custody issue, I would highly recommend Steven Brenners.
It took nearly 3 years for my case, there was psychologists involved, a Guardian and more. My ex retained one attorney who was extremely beligerant and unorthodox and flat out rude and aggressive. Right before court the opposing attorney brought on one of her friends so two attorneys were against me and Mr. Brenners.
It ended with Mr. Brenners winning me custody of my little girl and making me the happiest dad in the world. I can not thank Mr. Brenners enough. I cried at court when the judge read the custody, all along while opposing counsel and my ex were saying things like "ha ha look at him" I am a man and admit I was emotional because my daughter will barely be around her mother and protected by the father writing th

Agree with comments of everyone here. Beware. Beware. Gets nothing done. Spends time talking with other lawyers and charges you for it,. Will NEVER be your advocate even though you are paying him. Simple case dragged out for more than a year. Do your research before hiring him. First thing he does is check how much asset you have and your employment to see if you can pay him.

Beware! He doesn't get anything done, and extremely unresponsive. Simple case dragged into year and half nightmare and had to just get different counsel to clean up his mess and go to trial. You would want your opponent to have this lawyer as counsel, since it will be an easy win for you. Also he charges 350 per hour to aggrevate you with no responses.

He will not return calls or emails. For WEEKS. Steve turned what should have been a matter-of-fact process into a drawn out nightmare. This is NOT the person you want in your corner.
