DO NOT USE CHRIS VACANTI. He's the epitome of unethical lawyers. He will say one thing and do another. His communication with me (his client) was very poor. I would have to continually ask for basic info on my case. Chris would usually have his paralegal do much of his work for him. He allowed opposing attorney's to bully me into making poor decisions.

Chris Vacanti and his paralegal Kathleen Laughlin really made me feel comfortable during a very tumultuous divorce. Whenever I would start to get frazzled or worry about the outcome of my case, they were great listeners and would calm me down. I don't wish anyone to ever have to go through a divorce and custody battle, but if you do, Vacanti Shattuck Family Law is a wonderful resource who will be at your side and help you through it.

Unethical, lacks knowledge and just out to take advantage of single women who have been abused. Spent at least $75K over 2 years with him and "his staff" as my representation and was in the same (or worse) position with my ex husband as I was when we started. Trust me....he is as bad as they get! DO NOT, let me repeat, DO NOT hire this unethical excuse of a man, or attorney (if he really wants to call himself that). He is as arrogant and pompous as they get and he is just plain uneducated.

He tells me "whats gonna happen.. you think contempt of court matters?"' The judge isnt going to do anything" No stratedgy, no advice, everything is vague, no straight answers, just an arrogant burn out

Divorce is extremely difficult. Chris and his team helped simplify it. Chris knows the process and the system. Hard to boil your life down to just assets and children but that is all the courts care about. I trusted Chris through this emotional process and had to go to trial. everything he did was well worth it and actually found justice in a courtroom because of him and Kathleen. Would highly recommend.

Having never been involved in the legal process I had no idea what to expect...was I nervous...you betcha! The initial meeting was very comfortable and professional and I felt that I was being heard. The process of what to come was laid out to me and I was given several options on how I wanted to proceed. They were honest and upfront through the whole process and in the end did an EXCELLENT job. They were on top of my case from start to finish and I am extremely satisfied with the out come.

Mr. Vacanti is knowledgable and always pointed out the best actions to take in dealings with my ex-wife and custody case. Fathers rights lawyer and good at it, kids and my interests always in front. Communication was not fast, but I am sure he is a busy person, Kathleen and Suzy his Para-legals are great to work with. He is like a bull dog and fought many times over the 6 years for my wife and I in regards to my kids and other post divorce issues. Example, my ex tried getting in front of a judge a few times and he slammed them down everytime as something a 1st yr law student would know was wrong. The office does great work and almost 100% error free. Value is good for work I had done, just lawyers know we need them so prices are high for a god one. Problem I have is the judges still follow that kids need to be with their mom, even though she does not provide a great role model and lives off the system. Wife and I are professionals & upstanding, but not good enough for judicial system.

One of the best lawyers I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He made my case so easy and unstressfull. His assistant Kathleen is amazing and knows her stuff. I would recommend both of them to anyone.

I made the mistake of hiring Chris as my attorney for a divorce on the recommendation of a friend. I am a woman and at first I did feel that he was being fair but by the end of the ordeal I felt he was on my ex's side. Very unethical. He did not have the ability to empathize with a woman that had been emotionally abused and was still living in fear of the man. He also charged me $50 several times when he answered an email question with just one word or sentence. The attorneys that I had after the original divorce were far better. Would not recommend to anyone.

Had serious 3/4m IRS problem. gave me an hour of free advice which was very useful & did help significantly. though this was years ago, just saw this listing service for us poor schmucks that often get taken by those we trust with our very lives.he told me who to contact & how to address the situation with the IRS so they would not take all my assets. Saved me 100's of thousands!

Over a year and half and countless big dollar bills, settlement was only agreed upon by my soon to be ex and myself. Chris did not even point out that I would be providing three times the support as mandated by law, that I would be foregoing state mandated financial off sets for medical insurance and I agreed to a home valuation less then fair market value. It seems as these are the things you pay a lawyer to console you in. No mention of it until I point it out on the decree. Communication is lacking with this firm...you hire one attorney but don't have any dealings with him (bait and switch). Paid for countless file reviews between attorney and staff with no progress in the case and no word to client. The only thing they did sufficently was bill for services I never saw. extremely dissapointed with their performance and would recommend that other attorneys be sought out. My wife's attorney(Mike Plambeck), did have her best interests at heart)..just look at the results.

Told me it was my fault my ex husband abused me and my children. Failed to follow through w/ necessary paperwork during discovery and Motions to Compel. Refused me my legal right to be present at hearings w/ my judge but charged me for it. Its been 2 yrs and my case is still not finished. Very poor communication. Contradicts himself constantly (this can be proven with documentation)
