It seems that I could have almost written the last two reviews myself. What is true is that a leopard does not change its spots, and that is certainly true of Mr. Luiz. I often wondered why Mr. Luiz was in business for himself and not working for or a partner of a law firm. I found out why in short order. To his credit, Mr. Luiz took my case when no one else would, then Mr. Luiz took advantage of me. That last review here stated, "You're better off representing yourself." Well, that sums it up with Mr. Luiz. Mr. Luiz represented that he would reconsider and take my case on a contingency, then later he reneged and then withdrew. He forced me to represent myself. The irony here is that I probably did better on my own than he would have done for me after he bilked me for thousands of dollars. Yet Mr. Luiz unwittingly did me a favor by getting my case filed in the first place. Few litigants who aren't attorneys are able to take over there own case, but I did with some success.

We are pleased the jury came back with a not guilty verdict. Mr. Luiz believed and based on the evidence knew the wrongfully accused was innocent. He proved at trial that the complaining witness fabricated her claims in an attempt to receive a big payout. Forever Thankful! He's a fierce trial lawyer.

He knows that he will not win the case but he will still charge you money ahead of the time and not do anything for you. You paid what he asked for and he will not provide you any information that you really needed and charged you for the visit and talk story.

I just go through a settlement with Shawn when I wanted to go to trial. He actually tried to withdraw as counsel 1 month before trial! I had to pay thousands in sanctions from the court because of his mistake. He would not pay it! He is the worst attorney I can imagine in both ethics, work, and more. I wish I read all the comments from the previous review Prior to entering an agreement with him since I believe they are True. If you are looking for an attorney to HURT you then he is the right guy.
