If there was anything below a 1, this woman would get it. Ms Prete rarely, if ever, responded in a timely manner to questions posed; however, she would be sure to respond with an invoice of payment due. Ms. Prete failed to act on behalf of her client when drawing up an agreement rather attempted to sway her client to settle on terms that were absolutely unreasonable (i.e. 6 months to refinance a house when the average time for refinance approval is 20-30 days). Ms Prete failed to stay on top of time frames/items proposed, sending regurgitated emails that had already been addressed by her client and billing them for it agai. Prete also communicated, more often than not, through an assistant, email or phone calls in which she wanted to “chit chat” about unrelated topics but was sure to bill for every minute. It would be anywhere from 4-6 weeks between responses on changes in agreement draft. Ms Prete was all around a very poor excuse for an attorney. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.

Did not demand full disclosure from former spouse..poorly written property settlement with no payment parameters, continued to bill long after she withdrew from case

Pretentious and condescending. Royally missed information, demanded nothing from ex-husband in my divorce. Belittled that he was cheating on me and knocked me unconcious. Left me with nothing. Stopped representing me but continued to send me her bill for about $14,000.

Mishandled a divorce case. Did not demand full financial disclosure from the husband, which resulted in a huge loss for the client. She abandoned the client and said she would not hel p resolve the obvious mistake she mad. Client had to hire another attorney to clean up the mess.
