She was an attorney recommended by in aa property management newsletter. I assumed that they would check a person's credentials before allowing them to advertise. When in court on my behalf, she exaggerated some specifics of my part of the case. At one point, the judge essentially asked if she knew what she was doing. When the bill was presented to me, it was wildly inflated, with an offer to 'settle' it for much less than the stated amount. Soon after I retained another attorney who had much more knowledge of landlord tenant law.
