Please do not waste your money! He talks a big game & then does ABSOLUTELY nothing & charges you for things that did NOT even happen! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ ALL REVIEWS ON THIS SO CALLED ATTORNEY BEFORE YOU LOSE YOUR MONEY

Req'd retainer without providing a work plan or schedule of services. Failed to respond to multiple phone messages and email contacts over a 8 week period. Did not even follow-up on his schedule provided in his own letter. Obviously negligient. Will contact TN Bar Assoc with detailed listing of schedule of failed contacts and seek to recover fee and possible damages incurred. Have been forced to retain another lawyer for same service.

I was very dissatisfied with yancey belcher work and will not choose him the future. I felt like he did not advocate for me and gave in to the demands of the opposing attorney to easily. In so many words , he sold me out. I felt price gouged by him and his office. It was a terrible experience for me and i understand why so many people have bad opinions of attorneys

Absolutely horrible attorney, I have never been more dissatisfied then I was with the performance from Yancy Belcher on a custody case recently. all he cares about is the money. In fact, he even said to me that he's been spending too much time on the case we hired him for and didn't get paid for the time he was spending on it. Completely inefficient, which is why he spent time on the case. Then when we ended up going to court, he stuttered constantly when he felt pressured and was ill-prepared with documents he needed for court. Stay away.

Sadly, I have to agree with another reviewer who said that Mr. Belcher markets himself very well in the consultation meeting to go over the details of your case to determine if you'll hire him. But once he has his retainer fee and the case goes beyond a certain length of time, he loses all momentum and focus. I don't doubt his knowledge of the law at all and I'm sure he handles quick, simple legal matters just fine. But if you need someone who is going to stay focused on a complicated case, keep things moving along when the other side or the court drags it out, do what he says he will do, COMMUNICATE during the process, and fight for your rights to the very end, you'll have to keep looking and then post a review to let the rest of us know when you find that attorney. It saddens me that this was my experience.

He represents himself great and he has your best interest until you write him a check. You will hardly get any service from him. His knowledge is terrible, not every case is the same and he thinks it is. He thought me to be cautious about lawyers!
