Sharon does have issues of not responding to emails, phone messages that requires an answer, and repeatedly sending copies of the same material when the packet was at least 25 pages, I'm sure more, I need to look at a statement and see if I was charged for all of those unnecessary documents. She is feisty and will try to get what her client not only wants but needs. She will look a lion in the mouth and have it running circles before it knows what she's done. I'm still waiting on answers regarding a contempt of court. She can show power in the courtroom but would be nice to have some better communication from her. I've paid way too much to be sidestepped now. Take this review as you will. I'm not happy about the way some things have been handled and mishandled.

She is extremely poorly prepared. She has ME what questions to ask witnesses without giving any thought to it herself. She failed to ever review documents or numbers and did not follow through on any smaller issues which ended up costing me thousands of dollars. She does not EVER respond to email or calls, unless it is in regard to her bill. She failed to communicate so badly that I thought I was officially divorced when I wasn't, and then got mad at ME because I did not understand the procedure!. It is her job to explain it! She frequently chastised me by saying "as you well know" when I DO NOT know because I am not an attorney. That is why I hired her. Her lack of preparation has stuck me with an incredibly overwhelming amount of spousal support. No one, including other family law attorneys outside of Roanoke, can believe how badly I came out of the divorce. She is a smart attorney but she has taken on way more than she can handle. DO NOT HIRE HER

See all of the other bad reviews.I had her for 5 yrs thru last of 1 divorce & a 2nd. I know what she does. Had a paralegal from another firm who used her personally tell me she doesnt do what she says she will & in my case SHE DIDNT even DO WHAT THE JUDGE ORDERED HER TO DO! i DID SO MUCH LEG WORK & when I gave her info she copied it & sent it to me & CHARGED ME FOR IT!!! There are several attys that told me theyd never sue a client. She didnt send me a bill for 3 yrs!!!

Charges excessive fees for everything. Appeared in court for several hours and the end result was her postponing the court date. I paid for this. Schedules phone appointments in which I was charged for and cancels last minute. Charges excessive amounts to read e-mail and does not respond. Charges for her mess ups. Overall, I could have represented myself better. I paid her almost 7,000 dollars and it took her two years to finalize my divorce. I was constantly having to beg her to get things moving on my divorce. Overall, not pleased and the service I received was very poor.

Promises a lot up front, then no follow through. I had divorce case and felt like she was working for my ex instead of me. Didn't push for me in any matters. Emails were ignored. Didn't write letters when promised and caused me more headache. Never pushed for child support nor used the information I gave her to get custody and this was serious. Reminder emails were ignored and only once I sent a very frustrated email did I get response. Then it was more promises and no delivery. I was so disappointed and proceeded the divorce Pro Se, which is on my own. Please consider these reviews when making you decisions. I think she is at burn out point in her career and her client shouldn't suffer.
