His communication skills are very poor. During our initial conversations he seemed really interested but once the damages that could be awarded went down he didn't seem as interested. He missed meetings with commissions offices that shouldn't have been missed. I turned down money based on his original consultation...now I regret it. It takes him over a week to call me back, after deadlines have already passed...

Melehy talked a good game coming into an agreement with him, paying him and then getting very poor representation. He is disorganized and does not have his client's interest in mind. His agenda is to get your money. He's got tricks. First, your attorney should believe in your case, if he does not, it is better to keep looking for representation. Melehy does not have basic good sensibilities.

Attorney is not proactive and does not provide clear communications to client.Does not show concern, care & passion with individual case that appears not to have the value or worth of for cases that are potential worth hundreds of thousands. Another attorney in office made arrogant statement telling me that I can hire other attorney after I made her aware of my concerns about the quality of work I was receiving compared to their hourly rate charges. Rather than the firm asking me how can they improve their services to me the Melehy staff or co-partner suggested to me that I could seek out alternate legal representation after they have been paid several thousands of dollars that I felted was not accounted for with regards to the professional legal services that I thought I was paying for. After hiring the attorney for professional legal services I learned that after being lured in with the initial retainer the request for additional retainers came frequently due to their razzed dazzle.

I cannot attest to Mr. Melehy's competence in court, but I can comment on my experience in visiting him in his office. When I arrived for a job consultation with Mr. Melehy, I was made to wait for 45 minutes after our scheduled meeting time. During our visit, he seemed arrogant and rude. He was very difficult to reach in subsequent communications, and I was made to feel as though I was bothering him. His office staff was not friendly, and the furnishings and cleanliness of his office are second-rate.
