Please be warned. Pat Campagna guardian ad litem for my two children during my divorce from their father. Our divorce was very acrimonious as my ex wanted custody despite having a affair and wanting his mistress to raise our children. In our interview he told me in a very professional that our children would be fine and he has to take care of himself. I realized what he meant until after our trial when he recommended that my ex have custody despite the trauma he was causing our children. My greatest flaw in his eyes is that I am a professional working woman. His strategy was to keep the conflicts going so he could squeeze as much money out of us. The trauma caused by his interventions have had lasting effects on us.

Pat represented myself on an extremely difficult custody case. He was over confident and ultimately nothing went my way. He doesnt have much fight in him and is to scared to stand up to the judge or opposing counsel to be effective. I paid him approx 50k, I could have got the same results representing myself. I'm not impressed and would urge others to seek a different attorney.

Patrick was appointed by the court as guardian ad litem for my children. He was a horrible guardian. He petitioned to have custody taken away from me on hearsay. He said that I wasn't good for my children and never once asked my child or her therapist. He went off of rumors. He gave custody to someone that had never been there before. He was callous and everything he did had a threat at the end of it if we did not so as he wanted. He lied and changed his stories.multiple times. He stated.that he talked.to my husband.and chargedfor it when he had not talked to him. He showed bias.and very little knowledge of the legal system. He took steps that guardians do not do. He acted as a therapist but.actually just added.up costs by requesting further tests.that were.not needed. Patrick does not know.about the law or his role. He practices with threats and does not care to find the truth. And he is now taking me to court because I cannot pay him immediAtely. Even tho I don't have a bill.

Pat is a terrible lawyer. He shows bias and is only concerned with what he is billing for. He has no concept or understanding of laws and his roles as lawyer and guardian ad litem. He went off conjecture and rumors instead of discussing these issues with the actual client/people involved. He is pompous and arrogant. The man has no understanding of mental health issues. But acts as though he is a mental health professional. I think he should be barred from any court proceedings. He does more harm than good and most.of his actions are unfounded.

I was Pat's client when he worked at Lustgarten and Roberts. It is a great firm that I would recommend and have returned to, with a different lawyer now. Pat broke off to do his own practice. I am not sure if he is just a bad business person, or was always a bad lawyer, but his skills tanked when he left L&R. Mixing up details, overall not knowing the law, sometimes appearing drunk/disoriented in the office and making comments about the Judge and other Lawyers that were totally inappropriate. Pat would call other lawyers "total fool and idiots" and tell me how he was going to "play everyone" because "he is very smart, trust him, he's got it". I grew tired of listening to Pat brag about himself and suspected he was becoming unhinged. Pat may be better when he works at someone else's firm. As a sole attorney, I cannot describe how bad the experience is working with him. I would highly recommend his former firm Lustgarten and Roberts where I am once again a client. Best wishes.

I had high hopes for this lawyer, based on the good things that his lawyer friends say about him on the internet. I found, as a paying customer, that he did not live up to their words. Callous, unprofessional, poorly spoken and unorganized. Pat made a great reputation at his past firm, but I am afraid to say that he is not performing at that level as a solo lawyer. There are better lawyers to work with. I would not invest my (plentiful) hard earned money on Pat.

Pat is not only a bad lawyer, he is a bad person. He is an example of why Family Law gets a bad name. I initially hired him as my lawyer to stick it to my ex, but over time even I grew disgusted at the tone he encouraged me to take and decided to fire him. Mr. Campagna is not about ethics, he is about billable hours. If you are a woman scorned who has little consideration for the well being of your children, or wants to make sure you get your pay day and that is all, he may be your lawyer. If you want to sleep at night and keep a relationship with your children, or at any level your ex, steer clear. Couldn't stress more how glad I was to see the hate Pat was creating for me towards others and booted him before it was too late.

Patrick is not very savvy about the legal system. He lost my case and also created a broken relationship with my children's Father that I can not repair. He encouraged me to do unethical things in pursuit of a case that I ultimately lost and I was left with the bill, to the tune of $10,000. When it came time to pay off, he was as vicious towards me as he was towards my ex. Difficult person. Abusive to clients and those around him alike. Stay away.

Has no code of ethics. I would stay away from this lawyer if integrity and honesty are important to you; otherwise, he's the kind of lawyer you'd want fighting for you.
