I hired Ward to initiate and complete an uncontested guardianship action. I hired him because he advertised over 28 years experience. I paid him in advance to complete the action. He initiated 2 documents and filed one with the court. Almost 2 weeks later, when I contacted him, he told me the court needed additional forms but he was having a hard time finding them. He also said he tried to get them from another agency, but couldn't do that either. I called the courts, they give me the Web site to complete and download the forms. I did all this in less than an hour. Ward should have done this from day one. I fired Ward in writing the next day and asked for a refund. This was simple stuff-he should know this after all the years of experience he advertised. In writing he refused my refund and indicated that he would pursue criminal charges against me if I contact him again. He closed all doors for me to directly challenge the charges or ask for a detailed invoice. What a business!!
