This case has been subject to nearly five years of delays, as Brooke MacLoed continues to avoid proceeding to a hearing. She is now working with her third lawyer, who has knowingly made false statements the court and knowingly attempted to introduce improper procedures to gain an advantage-conduct that is unbecoming of a legal professional. It is evident that his actions are directed by Brooke MacLeod herself. In her most recent affidavit, Ms. MacLoed swore that she never claimed to be an expert in family law, despite having practised for 23 years. This raises serious concerns, as clients paying premium rates would reasonably expect competence rather than years of repeated errors so she can learn in her practise. her lawyer has repeatedly threatened to file a defamation lawsuit. When I offered to personally collect the lawsuit, he failed to follow through, suggesting these threats are baseless. Go to Victoria Courthouse and search out MacLeod's taxation for over billing before hiring.

Subject: Concern Regarding Hidden Billable Time and Excessive Legal Fees
We recently conducted a review of hidden billable time from this lawyer and found that the opposing law firm charged $2,000 for my house closing. However, Brooke claimed she had to teach this lawyer how to handle the conveyance process (as he was a rookie) and subsequently billed us $22,097.35—equating to 68 hours of billable time based on our calculations.
For this to be legitimate, the opposing lawyer would also have to bill 68 hours, as Brooke claimed she spent that much time on the phone instructing him. However, the bills in question were prepared and initialed solely by Brooke.
In my opinion, any legal fees exceeding $2,000 should undergo a full licensing review. In any other industry, such a discrepancy would likely be considered fraudulent.

If you’re considering hiring this lawyer, I strongly urge you to do thorough research before proceeding. Take a look at reviews on various platforms, including Lawyerratingz, as it seems reviews under different emails keep appearing on Google.
Based on my experience, I would recommend recording all interactions for your records (using your iPhone or another device), as it was crucial in my case. Victoria has many reputable lawyers, so it’s worth exploring other options.
In my case, I observed actions that raised serious concerns. At one point, this lawyer provided information to a judge that was knowingly inaccurate and later claimed I owed fees for "protection." Her representation left me deeply dissatisfied, and I have chosen to document and share my experience to inform others.
It’s worth noting that I’ve since been threatened with defamation for sharing my experience. However, as far as I understand, truth is not defamatory.

Brooke has helped me with my ongoing family law issues - mainly child support against a self-employed spouse. Miss Mcloud, she was referred and I just laughed, once again, this lawyer "FORGOT" to have me sign paperwork on a child custody battle, it then come back and bit us 7 years later, have not seen nor heard from my daughter since. Great work, I can only hope your business is up and runnig well.

Calls the other party names in court/ mediation; which jeopardizes mediation and created conflict that was not there. Is very aggressive and which is not conducive to future positive co-parenting relationships. Looks out for client instead of children. I guess it would be a good fit if you are an abusive male trying to take advantage of a passive marginalized female.

We had a painful family trial. Brooke was always available to talk- she has an amazing memory for facts and an even better ability to present these facts in court. We wouldn't have kept our sanity without her. And because of her, my granddaughter is safe in our care.
