Mr. Goodman represented me twice--first during my divorce and again for my parental plan modification. He always has his client’s best interest as the focal point of his representation and always primarily interested in fully exploring settlement possibilities prior to involving his client in lengthy expensive litigation. He was excellent, professional and compassionate. Everything a divorce and family lawyer should be. He possesses the insight and demeanor for this often difficult specialty. He prepared me well for the 2-year long fight that I had not fully anticipated and aggressively moved the case to a conclusion that was to my advantage. I felt very comfortable and confident in both his knowledge and experience. I definitely think having him fight for me made a difference and highly recommend him.

He indicated that he understood that there was very little disagreement between my spouse and I when I hired him. He basically created a huge mess with antics that only ran me out of money and I ended up with a worse deal than the one I showed up with at the consultation.

Mr. Goodman represented me during my divorce and helped me get time sharing with my children. He really took the time to listen to my concerns about my children, child support and how my wife and I were going to divide up our stuff including the house. Mr. Goodman always explained the law to me and discussed my options. I felt a part of the process and that I had someone on my side. You should give Mr. Goodman a call if you need an attorney on your side. Mr.Goodman is sincerely passionate and genuine. An exceptional attorney.

Talks the talk but don't believe his consultation speech that "you're the captain of the ship". I'm not sure how he could have made things any worse and 90% of what he did without my knowledge did more damage than can be repaired. Think twice and if you still consider hiring him you would be better off just giving your money to charity and not showing up.

Beware of this attorney, Garth Goodman of St. Petersburg, Florida. He quoted one price to represent me in a divorce where I had been married only 1 year, had no joint property nor children with my ex husband. My ex was a millionare, I live pay check to pay check, yet provided a shelter for my ex. I just wanted out of the marriage. I asked for nothing in the divorce but for what I came into the divorce with. My husband agreed. This was a simple divorce. The price of $1800 grew to over $5000 for very very very little work on Garth's part. Basically writing up the agreement from a template. Years ago I worked as a legal secretary and did the same type agreements that his assistant prepared for me. I ended up having another attorney finish my divorce. I very strongly suggest you not have Garth Goodman represent you. Thank you
