I read the earlier review. I must say this report does comport at all with my experience. She must have been a very bad client. I am surprised Cathy did not fire her or she did not fire Cathy. If you were so unhappy , why stay with her? Cathy did a completely professional job for me and became a friend.

I hired Ms. Cartee for dissolution of a long-term marriage. She was told my then-spouse would lie to the Court. "If he lies, he'll have to answer to it. We're going to make him jump through some hoops." Unfortunately, I did all the hoop jumping. I provided ALL the discovery with a money trail of more than $100,000 of community property cash that disappeared. Ex was never held accountable, although she filed court documents to prevent "Dissipation of Assets." ALL motions filed with the court were simply to pad her bill. "I charge $300 an hour for my service." Most work/contact was with an assistant or junior atty also @ $300/hr. I waited weeks for return calls or emails. I provided detailed evidence for a fair & equitable settlement, but I got screwed. She doesn't care if you get a fair settlement, uses flattery to "sell" a deal then resorts to abuse, coercion & lies when you don't agree. She charged $15,000 to railroad me. The emotional trauma I suffered from her was priceless. BAD!!!

She did not communicate court dates, copy me on communications with my husband's attorney, did not review figures and calculations regarding assets (I found many each time I received something with errors up to $100K). She promised me the world and did nothing to deliver it. Every time we went to court, I ended up with more of the bills, up to $2K a month, her response, "you can afford it". His lawyer changed the legal documents to my husband's benefit and I had to catch it each time, Ms. Cartee didn't even bother to read them. For the final disposition I received copies the night before when I'd been asking for 2 weeks. During the hearing I had to ask 4 times for the location of funds removed from one bank account and not reported anywhere, she kept blowing me off-he had an unreported account with the missing funds. When his attorney changed the wording (again) I reviewed everything and found discrepancies of over $80K in his reported assets. It was a battle to get her to review
