I was referred to Ms. Silverman by someone whose ex-wife had used her and he wished she had been his attorney. I was told she was tough but fair. The first time I met with her she sat and talked to me for almost 2 hours and didn’t charge me anything. She is very smart and easy to talk to. I got the feeling she really cared about my case and it wasn’t all about making money. She gave me a really good indication right from the start on what I was facing and how it would likely end up. I interviewed 3 other attorneys and none of them had the time or cared to really understand what was going on. In the end, the settlement was better than what she had said she thought it would be in that first meeting. I thought she was excellent in court. She wasn’t that good about returning calls but I could always get an appointment with her, so I still give her a 4 for that. Her fees were very reasonable.

This attorney defended a 19 year old in suing her own mother. What kind of an attorney would defend a child against her own mother?! Mrs. Silverman would. She went over the mother's financial records with a fine tooth comb even though the teenager was allowed to come live at home. The Mom is a widow. That didn't stop Mrs. Silverman. This attorney stops at nothing. She went so far as to DECLARE my daughter POOR. Now my daughter is getting a private school education for nothing. Did she ever concern herself how this would affect what was left to our family?! Hopefully this will never happen to her.
