After assuring me he would fiercely represent me in Court, I worked with Mr. Cleghorn for several months to prepare my case. I flew to GA the day before trial & he told me he decided to let a colleague represent me in Court. He passed me off on someone with much less experience and acted like he was doing me a favor because the younger attorney with less than 5 years experience charged less. Even though I protested that it would cost me MORE if the young attorney lost, Cleghorn dumped me anyway, saying he had just had a "tough loss" in Court and his confidence was affected.So he Hung me out to dry the DAY BEFORE COURT. When the judge denied my petition for legal fees because the lawyer failed to argue my case, Mr. Cleghorn "offered" to lower his bill, claiming it was an act of good will. Looking back on it, I should have sued him for what I believe was "bait and switch". Instead I paid the bill and swore I would NEVER use this firm again.
