Got a lousy divorce settlement because of him. Said my "story" was a good one, but he never used it. Didn't remember things from one visit to next. Showed up an hour late to the first court meeting. Would send me inflammatory emails from opposing counsel without any explanation. I would call upset about the content - eventually after 4 or 5 of these he said "these are just lawyers tricks, etc." How about telling me that before sending me emails - I'm a doctor, pretty bright, but I'm not a lawyer - is your job just to forward emails - what value is that? He started off telling me what to expect (a reasonable amount) and as it got closer to the end he acted like giving away everything was the best I could do. The other lawyer was tenacious and had a strategy and a game plan (that unfortunately for me worked). Pope had nothing. I would have done at least as well on my own.
