Mr. Johnson, as Mediator. Define Mediator: Judge is tired of dealing with litigation so mandates all parties to see a Mediator. This person doesn't provide insight to the judge, has nothing to do with assisting the Judge to make a wise decision. The focus of the Mediator is to find the weakest party, learn the emotional trigger, and persuade them to accept far less, to accept a settlement close to what the offending party would pay to settle out of court as well as count it as a victory. The words fair, truth, making it right are irrevelant in the mediation process. Also, the mediator may convey to you he understands how you feel(part of negotiation)...always remember the words are empty and meaningless...and he has his agenda; Make is $1200 dollars and relieve the Judge of a case. He may say...don't worry about the mediation fee...beware, expect to receive a bill two weeks later. honesty is not the policy
