Ms. Blaner is an exceptional writer and has published extensively. She practiced at Kirkland & Ellis, Pepper Hamilton and Covington & Burling. She left practice to answer a call from her church and served as a pastor for three years after attending seminary. The church she was serving failed to adapt to the changed demographics of the area and closed. Since then Ms. Blaner has been semi-retired, working as a contract attorney from time to time.
